It’s a quiet morning with just a breeze. On the horizon, I spot a hot air balloon and it’s occasionally dropping below the nearby roof tops. The breeze is blowing toward us, that is, my wife and granddaughter. Looks like the balloon will float right by.
I point in the direction my granddaughter should look, and she exclaims “I’ve never seen a hot air balloon in Texas!” She’s never seen a hot air balloon period. She’s just three years old.
I’ve never flown in a hot air balloon. My Dad took a ride above the fields of rolling blue grass around Louisville Kentucky. Guess I should put that on my bucket list. In memorandum of Dad.
I miss you Mom and Dad. Until we meet again – on that Last Day.
Chris Tomlin sings it well in his song, I will rise. “And, I will rise on eagles’ wings . . . [On that] day that’s drawing near. When this darkness breaks to light, and the shadows disappear ….”
It is well. Is it well with you?
