We had the secondary battery (batt 2) on our Cirrus SR22-G3 replaced. The Batt 2 system, is located in the tail of the airplane. It’s actually two small sealed batteries connected in series.

In general, the useful life of batteries in a Cirrus SR22 are a calendar limited item. They’re a good example of fixed expense in airplane ownership. The expense will be incurred whether you’re flying just a few hours or a lot.
For a shared ownership arrangement, fixed costs are normally divided equally among members.
