Reason 17 – Turbocharged Cirrus

The majority of Cirrus SR22-G3 buyers are choosing to go “Turbo.” It’s been a steady climb upward over the past half-decade, and in 2014 almost sixty percent of the SR22-G3 buyers selected turbocharged performance.

Reason 17 – The trend among Cirrus Aircraft buyers is turbocharged

The “SMART Turbo” was first produced in 2006, but it was the G3 wing introduction in 2007 that handed the advantage to Cirrus’s turbocharged models. See “A Wing Up Cirrus SR22 G3” for more details.

The 10th year anniversary of the turbocharged SR22-G3 begins in 2016, along with the first full year production roll-out of the Cirrus Jet.  Maybe they’ll recognize this turbocharged and turbine milestone with very special – special editions. “You’ve come a long-way baby.”

Are you keeping count? Only a minority have flown out with a Cirrus SR22-G3 normally aspirated (NA) engine.
